Let me tell you something—midlife is wild. There I was, feeling like I had my stuff together, ready to cruise into my 40s with some grace, and BOOM! Life said, "Hold my drink." The thing about a midlife crisis is, it's not just about a few gray hairs or realizing you can’t party like you used to. Oh no, it’s that deep, soul-shifting, ‘What am I even doing with my life?’ kind of moment. And here's the kicker: you either rise up and embrace the shift, or you succumb to that feeling of life slipping through your fingers.

It’s pivotal. It’s humbling. And trust me, it will try you. But if there’s one thing I know, it's that the latter is always better. We don’t just get better with age, we get smarter, we get bolder, and baby, we get fiercer. So, how do we rise? Here’s how you navigate that midlife maze and come out shining like the star you were always meant to be.

1. Own Your Story

I built Warren + Forrest from the ground up, through sleepless nights and endless hustle. And that’s exactly how you’ve got to look at your life. Own it, the good, the bad, and the messy middle. The midlife crisis wants you to feel like it’s too late to rewrite the story, but baby, the pen is still in your hand. Flip the script, make edits, and if you need to, add a whole new chapter. It's your life, claim it!

2. Reevaluate Your Purpose

Listen, there comes a point when you realize what got you to this age isn’t necessarily what will take you through the next phase. So, what are you passionate about now? Maybe you don’t care about chasing the same career ladder anymore, and that’s okay. Start asking yourself what lights your fire today—not yesterday. Dig into that. And don’t be afraid to pivot. The beauty of this stage? You have the wisdom to make bold choices, ones that feed your soul.

3. Cut the Noise

By this age, everybody and their mama has an opinion about what you should be doing. Family, friends, society, and even that annoying coworker who’s always in your business. But here's the thing: your life, your rules. Tune out the noise. What other people think about your journey has nothing to do with where you're going. Midlife is about finding your center, cutting out distractions, and making decisions that are in alignment with your truth.

4. Level Up Your Self-Care

I don’t know who started the rumor that self-care is just a bubble bath, but I’m here to tell you it’s so much more. Self-care at 35+ is about setting boundaries, saying ‘no’ without guilt, and making your well-being a priority. You have to protect your energy, sis. Whether that means therapy, hitting the gym, traveling solo, or simply taking a day off to do nothing—honor what you need to recharge. You can’t pour from an empty cup, so fill yours first.

5. Surround Yourself with Real Ones

At this stage in life, you don’t have time for nonsense. Keep a tight circle of people who genuinely have your back. The ones who will celebrate your wins and hold you up when life gets heavy. And if your circle isn’t that strong, don’t be afraid to let go of dead weight. Friendship, relationships, even business partnerships that don’t serve you anymore—cut them loose. Growth happens when you’re surrounded by the right people.

The Bottom Line: The Best is Yet to Come

Midlife isn’t a crisis. It’s a wake-up call. It’s a chance to rise to the occasion and reclaim who you are, to embrace change and step into your power. The latter isn’t just better—it’s golden. Because by the time you’ve hit midlife, you know yourself in ways that your younger self couldn’t even imagine.

So don’t be afraid of this shift. Lean into it. This is your time to shine, unapologetically. Midlife crisis? Nah. It’s a midlife glow-up. You’ve got this.

And remember, life happens, but how you choose to move through it? That's all you, babe.
