Welcome to Ronisha Arlene
Hey y’all! I’m Ronisha Arlene, a proud Memphian, creative soul, and curator of joyful experiences. My life has been one beautiful, wild ride, filled with faith, flowers, and everything in between. From running my own business to embarking on an Eat Pray Love-style journey of healing, I’m here to share my story and connect with those who want to live life fully and joyfully. So, let me share five fun facts about me that will give you a little glimpse into the person behind the name!
1. Memphis Is My Heart and Soul
Memphis isn’t just my hometown; it’s my foundation. The home of the blues, of Black culture in its purest form, where live music fills the air, and BBQ reigns supreme. We’re the Bluff, the 901, and the heartbeat of the Mid-South. From the gold grills to the jheri curls, we’ve got a swagger that’s unmatched. The Mississippi River runs right through our city, and I swear you can feel its rhythm in everything we do. No matter where I go in the world, Memphis is home. It’s the place that made me, and it’s where my heart always returns.
2. I Dreamed of Being a Fashion Designer
Growing up, I had big dreams of becoming a fashion designer. I spent hours sketching designs, imagining outfits, and sewing before I was even eight years old. By high school, I had my first sewing machine and was whipping up outfits. There’s something magical about turning fabric into something beautiful, and while my path didn’t lead me directly into fashion, that love of creativity and design is still a huge part of who I am.
3. I Love Skating Like It’s 1999
Let me tell you, skating is one of my favorite pastimes! Growing up, summers at Crystal Palace were the *best*. I learned how to skate backward, and I rocked those booty shorts like nobody's business. This was my place to be a little “fast” and let loose, gliding across the rink to the sound of the hottest tracks. Skating is freedom, it’s joy, and it takes me right back to the carefree days of childhood.
4. I’m a Church Girl Through and Through
My foundation is God. My first love, my guide, and my confidant. I consult with God first and sometimes only God. Period. I grew up in the church—my first kiss happened in a church pew, and I fell in love for the first time there too. The sound of the old-school choirs with sopranos, altos, and tenors still brings me peace. God has been at the center of everything I do, and my faith has carried me through every season of life.
5. Neo-Soul is My Vibe
When it comes to music, neo-soul is the soundtrack of my life. I’m all about the headwraps, nose rings, and gold teeth culture. I’m the one who dances with the wind, vibing to Musiq Soulchild and feeling like the love child of Erykah Badu. Neo-soul isn’t just music; it’s an experience, and it reflects everything I am: soulful, authentic, and free.
The Journey to Ronisha Arlene
Beyond these fun facts, life has taken me on a journey that’s shaped me in ways I never expected. I went to Alabama State University, where I first learned to balance ambition with creativity. Nine years ago, I started my first business, Twelve80 Events, which evolved into Warren + Forrest. For years, I poured everything into my business, but anxiety and panic took over. Last year, I made the toughest decision to walk away from it all. I quit the business and decided to chase something bigger—joy and peace.
Since then, I’ve been on my own Eat Pray Love journey, healing my inner child and confronting the trauma that I had carried for so long. I’ve been blossoming into the woman God called me to be, nurturing the beauty within and around me. And let me tell you, this journey has been incredible. From traveling to new places and having the best conversations over delicious meals and drinks, I’ve been embracing everything life has to offer. I’m enjoying the hell out of this journey, and I want you to come along with me.
So, welcome to the world of Ronisha Arlene. It’s a world full of faith, fellowship, flowers, and joy. Let’s grow, laugh, heal, and thrive together.
