Y’all… “I DID THAT.” And nope, I’m not talking about winning a trophy or booking a fancy trip (though, don’t worry, that’s on the bucket list). I’m talking about something real: showing up for myself, week after week, for one whole month by writing this blog. Now, maybe to some, that’s a small feat, like something you’d brush off. But for me? Honey, this is monumental.

See, I’m usually that girl with a hundred ideas and a thousand “I’ll do it laters.” I could hype myself up, start a dozen things, and… finish none. Or, better yet, overthink until I’ve psyched myself out completely. So here I am, celebrating a whole month of showing up, one post at a time. It deserves a cupcake, a cocktail, and a whole dance party because, baby, this is a vibe.

Let’s Talk Growth

It’s been a solid three months since I let go of my ex. Chapter closed, cover sealed, vibes renewed. And since then, I’ve had to shed a lot of negative self-talk that I’d been holding onto for way too long. Starting this blog was something I could have easily talked myself out of—an idea I could have dismissed. But I didn’t. Week after week, I’ve shown up. And y’all, it’s been a freeing, beautiful ride, one I didn’t see coming. I’m learning to pour love into myself, speak life over my dreams, and, finally, stop second-guessing every step.

This blog gave me the courage to publish that prompted journal I wrote forever ago, the one I sat on out of fear. Now, one month of blogging isn’t just about the posts—it’s about showing up for the woman I used to be, the one who doubted she could ever make this happen.

3 Things That Helped Me Celebrate My Small Wins

I’m not saying this journey’s been all smooth. Some days, I didn’t want to show up. Some days, I asked myself why I was even doing this. But I realized I’ve got tools, little rituals that remind me to lean into the small wins. Here’s what’s been keeping me grounded:

1. Celebrate It Like It’s Big (Because It Is)

When I finish something—a post, a journal entry, or even just making it through a hard day—I take a moment. I’m talking cupcakes, cocktails, and a mini dance party. I’m learning that even little moments deserve to be hyped up. Who says you need a grand achievement to celebrate? I let myself feel that win because, to me, it “is” big.

2. Show Up, Even When I Don’t Feel Like It

There are days when I think, “Maybe tomorrow.” But I’ve learned that showing up for myself, especially on the hard days, is the biggest act of self-love. Writing this blog wasn’t always easy, but it’s become worth every moment. I’m learning to stop waiting for motivation and just show up. The joy usually follows.

3. Give Myself Grace

I used to be my own worst critic for not getting things done “fast enough” or not doing things perfectly. But that energy? It doesn’t serve me. What does? Grace. I don’t have to have it all figured out right now. This milestone is proof that even showing up “imperfectly” is a win. So, I’m letting myself say, “Girl, you did good,” and mean it.

So, What’s Next?

Honestly? I don’t know where this blog will take me, and for once, I’m okay with not knowing. What I do know is that this space has become a place to be “me”—real, raw, and unapologetic. And I’m proud of that.

So, yes, I’m celebrating this “small” win because it’s not small at all. It’s proof that I’m showing up, that I’m growing, and that I’m learning to love me in ways I never have before. And that, my friends, deserves a toast.

Here’s to more wins, more grace, and more moments to say, “I did that.”
